If there were a show spoofing the San Jose area, a big theme
would be commute. Rarely does anyone
here have a job directly in their town, so they have to head to the next town
over or another city altogether. Of
course, this applies to working in San Jose but living outside, like I once
did. I assure you I do not miss the
forty minute commute to work.
Another big one would be housing prices and how well off
people live in absolute crap. The fridge
may not close all the way, the oven may be too cramped to open, and the parking
structure may be garbage, but it’s still $900 a month! I imagine a episode dedicated entirely to the
rush of going from open house to open house in the desperate attempt to find
something before the lease runs out.
